As part of the European Digital Single Market strategy, the Open Science Cloud will raise research to the next level. It promotes not only scientific excellence and data reuse but also job growth and increased competitiveness in Europe, and drives Europe-wide cost efficiencies in scientific infrastructure through the promotion of interoperability on an unprecedented scale.

The Eleventh International Conference on Open Repositories, OR2016, will be held on June 13th-16th, 2016 in Dublin, Ireland. The organizers are pleased to issue this call for contributions to the program.

The theme of OR2016 is “Illuminating the World.” OR2016 will provide an opportunity to explore the ways in which repositories and related infrastructure and processes:

The inaugural meeting of the DataCite re3data Working Group was convened in Paris on September 20th at the offices of the International Council for Science (ICSU). Co-chairs Michael Witt and Frank Scholze gave the background and history of Databib, which was initially funded by the IMLS in the United States, and re3data.org, which has been funded by DFG in Germany.
