Mesa redonda en línea - Open Access Week 2015

Para encontrar soluciones a los problemas globales que se le plantean a la sociedad actual, la investigación científica ya no puede ser gestionada en el antiguo modelo silo de investigación. Ahora, para poder afrontar los retos científicos es necesaria la colaboración de investigadores en grupos internacionales, interdisciplinarios e interinstitucionales trabajando juntos en red hacia objetivos comunes, compartiendo conocimientos, y datos de investigación.

Horizon2020 has been at the forefront as a major funder implementing Open Access policies. Following the Open Access pilot in FP7, Horizon2020 brings a strong mandate for Open Access to publications as well as an Open Data Pilot in certain areas.

Many questions arise from this policy; how to practically follow the requirements, what open actually entails, which media to use, and what about confidentiality issues? And which issues should be taken care of at proposal state, during the project and after the project finishes.

How to Write a Data Management Plan

Researchers in the social sciences and other disciplines are increasingly faced with the demand to write and implement a data management and sharing plan. By systematically addressing potential sources of errors and threats to data quality throughout the research process, Research Data Management boosts the quality of research outputs and creates transparency and replicability of research findings. In addition, good data management enables data sharing, thereby creating an opportunity for other researchers to re-use data in new research contexts after the original project has ended.
