The 25th of September, 2015, the third FOSTER event in the series 'Promoting Open Science among Young Researchers: Challenges and Opportunities' will be held at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius.
The discussion will focus on the following questions:

20 October 2015

The primary objective of the workshop is to use an Engaging Learning Environment to enhance understanding and uptake of open science and data management among young researchers. The program will be implemented in consultation with the University of Helsinki Doctoral Schools, and the event will be a contribution to the International Open Access Week 2015.

The workshop in will focus on data management planning, open research data and self-archiving of publications. The venue of the Minerva Plaza Learning Environment is specially designed for using innovative learning methods.

The 6th Couperin OA meeting: open access and open science will take place in Paris (France) – Oct 12-14, 2015. The proposed sessions and where to register are detailed at the Couperin website.

14 October 2015 to 17 October 2015

The Global Summit brings together the community of experts, academics, and activists who comprise the Creative Commons affiliate network in a different country every two years.

The summit includes Creative Commons partners from around the world, and will incorporate sister organizations such as EFF and companies like Shapeways and 500px. The program highlights several Korean organizations and projects in the creative industries and open data sector. Art Centre Nabi, a major art gallery in Korea, is preparing a special exhibition related to CC to celebrate the Global Summit.

Open scholarship requires the redesign, enhancement or adaptation of e-Infrastructures used for conducting research and disseminating research results. Such e-Infrastructures should cover all functions related to research information (registry, certification, intelligent discoverability, linking, preservation, …) and how open scholarship is applied, and how to facilitate the reproducibility of research results through proper data management practices.

The Czech National Library of Technology (NTK) is hosting its 8th Conference on Grey Literature and Repositories. The goal of this annual conference is to present information about grey literature and news from the field in an international context. Main topics include access to and dissemination of grey literature, interlinking grey literature with published research outputs and research data, digital repositories management, and the legal aspects of these procedures.

JPI Climate invites climate-related research communities, research funding organisations, policy makers and practitioners to discuss together on how societies can manage data and information to create knowledge (and ultimately wisdom) with problem-solving character.
