The Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations are organizing an e-forum on “Sustainable Development Goals: The Impact of Access to Information on our Societies” which will take place from 7th to 18th of September 2015.

The event will offer webcasts by experts to provide important background information for participants and to help stimulate dialogue and discussion around three main questions:

The RDA Publishing Data Services Working Group, the OpenAIRE infrastructure, the Research Data Alliance (RDA), ICSU World Data Systems, STM,CrossRef, DataCite, ORCID, the National Data Service, and the RMap project are today working in synergy on an initiative that brings together different parties in the research data landscape with the objective of creating the Data Literature Interlinking Service (DLI Service).

El Ministerio de Economía y Conpetitividad publicó el 23 de julio en el BOE las convocatorias de proyectos de 'I+D Excelencia' e 'I+D Retos de Investigación'. En el artículo 6 de ambas resoluciones se recoge la obligación de publicación en acceso abierto y se hace una mención expresa a Recolecta.

Anurag Acharya de Google hizo una presentación de cómo mejorar la indexación de los repositorios en el OR 2015 que tuvo lugar del 8 al 11 de junio en Indianapolis, Indiana.

Conference "A new start for Europe: Opening up to an ERA of Innovation", on 22-23 June in Brussels.

The conference Brings together key players from the fields of research, business and innovation, the conference will address Open Science, the European Research Area, and Innovation. Scientists, innovators, and policy-makers discuss how Europe can open up to an ERA of Innovation, where ideas will be forged to bring growth and jobs to Europe.

El 22 de junio de 2015 el Comisario de Investigación, Ciencia e Innovación Carlos Moedas pronunció el discurso Open Innovation, Open Science, Open to the World sobre las nuevas prioridades de la Comisión Europea en este ámbito.

PKP5 | Building Open Infrastructure and Programs for Digital Humanities, Publishing, and Libraries

In collaboration with SFU’s Canadian Institute for Studies in Publishing and the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab / Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria, the fifth PKP scholarly publishing conference will be an opportunity for participants to engage on the topics related to building open infrastructure and programs for digital humanities, publishing, and libraries.
